Mission Statement

The mission of the Leadership Council Bluffs Alumni Association is to actively pursue positive change in the community through community leadership development

Your Leadership Council Bluffs Alumni Association exists to provide Leadership Alumni with ongoing opportunities to serve and lead our community and to enjoy ourselves along the way. Please join us - stay actively involved with our Leadership Council Bluffs program and its alumni - we have many volunteer roles to fill!


Nominate your 2011 Alumni of the Year!

The Leadership Council Bluffs Alumni Association would like to recognize a Leadership Council Bluffs graduate who has exhibited exceptional leadership and demonstrated ongoing dedication to positive change in the community.

Nomination/Selection Policy:

Candidates must be a graduate of Leadership Council Bluffs and can be nominated by anyone. Candidates must be a current paid member of the Leadership Council Bluffs Alumni Association (LCBAA) as of December 31, 2011.

The selection committee consists of the LCBAA Board. The recipient will be honored at the LCBAA's Annual Meeting to be held on March 29, 2012 and featured in "The Leader" newsletter. The deadline for nomination is March 2, 2012.

Each nominee is judged on the quality of their leadership performance and/or the extent to which they have made a meaningful contribution to the community. In order for the nominee to be adequately evaluated, the quality of the nomination itself may be a factor in the selection committee's decision. Therefore, please provide sufficient information in the nomination by answering the nomination questions as completely as possible.

On March 18, 2011 at the Annual Meeting of the Leadership Council Bluffs Alumni Association, Ron Tekippe was recognized as the Association's 1st recipient of the Alumni of the Year Award. The Award recognizes a Leadership Council Bluffs graduate who has exhibited exceptional leadership and demonstrated ongoing dedication to positive change in the community.

Ron serves on many boards of non-profits and has helped with many community-wide events. He often volunteers to take a leadership role in many non-profit boards. He has been a long time Rotary member and heads up their fundraisers often. Through his employer, Ron provides valuable input on City beautification projects. Additionally, Ron and his wife, Joanie, have ensured that their children have become active volunteers in the community as well.

Please join us in thanking Ron for all that he does for the betterment of our community.
